Prompt: Write about something that you wish you had more of

Prompt Response: I wish I had more cats. Over the years I have had many cats. I have had 9 cats in my past 14 years. Right now I have 4 cats, Kitkat, Peanut, Bean, and Pickles. I love all of them but I wish I could be covered all night long in cats, they give me so much comfort and they don't stink like dogs do. Cats have always been my favorite animal and a lot of the older cats I had were strays that I rescued. Some of them had medical issues and others were feral. I believe cats have special souls and they are very loving creatures. I will definitely have a lot of cats in my future. 

Summary: Today in class I finished my poem/art presentation and watched the Lakeside News. 

Reflection: I really enjoyed making the art visuals in the poem assignment, but I had to get help from my mom with the poem because I have a hard time thinking of how to put poems together.

My friend was cheating every weekend and her boyfriend knew but had no proof. I really liked my friend but it got to the point where I felt bad for her boyfriend. I eventually told him because she did not even want to be in a relationship but I still felt bad. I think that if she had cheated once but wanted to change I would have never told, but It was an ongoing situation. Summary: In class we read more but I had to leave early. Reflection: I am still really intrigued by this book and I think it shows real standards in real life.

Prompt: Describe a time when someone’s words had a lasting impact on you.  Prompt Response:  When I was at my family's friends house I was playing hide and seek with my two friends. During this time their dad was around a lot and did not live in Vegas at this time. A few years later his wife divorced him and now he lives in Vegas. But, one day my friends and I were all hanging out and he came down. When I was younger my ears were more out and bigger. He said that my ears made me look like a monkey. And then my friends decided it was funny and started saying it too. I think that a father should not be making jokes about his daughters friends, but he did anyways. Now, since then I always want to cover my ears and not make them noticeable. I have realized that I have grown and they are not as out and as big, but I still feel like that little kid. What do you know about your birth experience?

Response: I do not know a lot of my birth since I was adopted, but I know some things. First I was born in Jacksonville Florida when my birth mom was 16 years old. I do not know if she has had any issues but I know I was delivered safely.  Summary: I will ask her soon how I was delivered. Reflection: I really like reading poems and I think they are interesting to dive deep into.
