Prompt: Before the Civil War, most people saw nothing wrong with children working long hours. Over time, people began to see it as unfair and even cruel. What is something that society once accepted but now sees as wrong, or something we still accept today that might be viewed as wrong in the future? Explain your reasoning. Prompt Response:  Society once accepted slavery which I think any person can understand why its a bad thing. I think peoples minds have a lot of different things going on in them. I think that not only slavery is inhumane, but I think slave owners did not see them as humans. I don't think it was bad in their eyes because they did not see them as people. I think we have evolved to the point that we know people are people no matter how they look. I know for a fact this was accepted and now is wrong because It was a world wide issue and now it is illegal to own slaves. People have grown in different ways and realized that people are people.  Summary: In the en...

Prompt: Blake uses the chimney sweepers to expose how society ignores suffering. Reflect on a time when you noticed someone being treated unfairly or saw a situation that didn’t seem right. How does this experience connect to the emotions or ideas expressed in one or both poems? Prompt Response:  When I was in 7th to 8th grade My whole grade loved to play four square. the boys would play unfairly though, which was the only bad part. Four square has always been my favorite game to play even though I am much older now. The boys would do things like cut the line, throw the ball unfairly, and just make the girls feel like they weren't as good as the guys. It got to the point where I would speak up, but it would make them more rude and even more unfair. This could connect to the poem from the little boy feeling something is wrong, but not knowing what to do about it. When I was a young girl I also did not know what to do about it. It definitely brings up feelings of being scared and wor...

Prompt: Describe a time you couldn’t stop laughing.

Prompt:  Describe a time you couldn’t stop laughing. Prompt Response:  A month or so ago I was on TikTok and I saw these new robots that walk around. I thought it was funny so I decided I would show my mom what they were. I went downstairs to the living room and I put a YouTube video of it on the TV. At first it took a while to find the correct video, but eventually I found it. She thought it was so funny and especially the ones of the robots falling or running away. My dad hosts poker every Thursday so when he came inside from it my mom wanted to show him. My dad thought it was kinda funny but he didn't get to tickled. My mom on the other hand couldn't stop and so then I started laughing and then we both just kept laughing at each other. It gets really hard to stop laughing when my mom's laughing.  Summary: In class today I took a photo of my one pager and did this blog post.  Reflection:    In the end me and my mom don't get along well but  the momen...

In "The Lamb" and "The Tyger", both poems suggest that beauty and danger can come from the same source. Describe a time when something or someone you admired also scared or challenged you. How did that experience change the way you see the world or the idea of “goodness”? prompt response: When I was really young roller coasters scared me really bad. The whole idea of being flung around in the air sounded scary and dangerous. As I grew up I realized that a lot of the world loves roller coasters and that has to mean something. I decided I would try some simple small ones, but those felt boring to me. I decided to try the bigger and more daring ones and that is when I realized I loved adrenaline and everything about roller coasters. I was so scared to begin anything with roller coasters but now I do not even feel fear getting on to very extreme rides.  summary: In the end people should always try new things even if they are scared. What I did over the break

prompt: What I did over the break response: Over the break I went to universal and the new area called epic. I went on a bunch of rides and I have new favorites after visiting. My new top favorites is velocicoaster and the star dust racers. Velocicoaster has a super high part that is around 150 feet and at the beginning it has a super fun boost. The boost at the beginning goes from 0-40 and then there is another boost in the middle that goes 40-70. It was super fast but super smooth. Star dust racers also has some boosts but it has a lot more up and down in the ride and you race another roller coaster that is beside you. Besides that, I saw Isle of berk, Nintendo world, the dark universe, and the new Paris themed harry potter world. I think my favorite less "scary" ride was probably the donkey Kong ride, it has fake rails to make you feel like you are falling off which is super cool. Epic had a lot better food than the og universal area did. Besides that I went to a Hallowee...

Prompt: Describe a time when someone’s words had a lasting impact on you.

Prompt: Describe a time when someone’s words had a lasting impact on you.  Prompt Response:  When I was at my family's friends house I was playing hide and seek with my two friends. During this time their dad was around a lot and did not live in Vegas at this time. A few years later his wife divorced him and now he lives in Vegas. But, one day my friends and I were all hanging out and he came down. When I was younger my ears were more out and bigger. He said that my ears made me look like a monkey. And then my friends decided it was funny and started saying it too. I think that a father should not be making jokes about his daughters friends, but he did anyways. Now, since then I always want to cover my ears and not make them noticeable. I have realized that I have grown and they are not as out and as big, but I still feel like that little kid. I feel like my ears are always out and I do not want people to see them.  Summary: In class we presented our posters. My poster wa...

Usually when I have fever my dreams are super vivid and life like. I had watched a scary documentary called, "Monster" and it was about a real story about a man who did insane things to people. I woke up at every hour of the night. First it was 1 am and then 2 am and then at 3 am I went to my dad asking for medicine. When I checked my temperature It was a 101. I kept waking up every hour to a man trying to hurt me and it was super scary. It is crazy how a fever can make you think of crazy things. Later on the next day my fever was up to a 104.5 and when I tried to sleep then my dreams were out of wack and super crazy.
