Prompt: What would you do: tell your friend to confess, tell their partner yourself, or stay quiet? Explain your choice, using ideas about loyalty and consequences from Fences. 

Prompt Response: I have been through a situation like this before. My friend was cheating every weekend and her boyfriend knew but had no proof. I really liked my friend but it got to the point where I felt bad for her boyfriend. I eventually told him because she did not even want to be in a relationship but I still felt bad. I think that if she had cheated once but wanted to change I would have never told, but It was an ongoing situation.

Summary: In class we read more but I had to leave early.

Reflection: I am still really intrigued by this book and I think it shows real standards in real life.

Prompt: Describe a time when someone’s words had a lasting impact on you.  Prompt Response:  When I was at my family's friends house I was playing hide and seek with my two friends. During this time their dad was around a lot and did not live in Vegas at this time. A few years later his wife divorced him and now he lives in Vegas. But, one day my friends and I were all hanging out and he came down. When I was younger my ears were more out and bigger. He said that my ears made me look like a monkey. And then my friends decided it was funny and started saying it too. I think that a father should not be making jokes about his daughters friends, but he did anyways.
