Prompt: In 2–3 well-developed sentences, reflect on how you spent your Holiday Break. Then, identify four personal you would like to achieve this year and briefly explain why each goal is important to you

Summary: I had a fun break, but I was sick for a little bit at the beginning. Then my mom got sick, and she was throwing up, so she could not do Christmas with us. But then she got better, so we went to Boone, North Carolina, for skiing, which was super fun. Then we came back, and I relaxed a lot with my friends and boyfriend until New Year's Eve. On New Year's Eve, I went to two parties and lit some fireworks.

Reflection: Overall, I had a good brea,k and I am ready for the semester to fly by.

The first goal I want to achieve this year is working out on a weekly basis. This Goal is important to me because working out increases my mood and makes me feel better about my body. To ensure I accomplish this goal, I am going to work out every Tuesday and Thursday. I may work out on extra days as well, but that depends on homework, tests and my work schedule. To make sure I do not miss days or get behind, I am going with my boyfriend and friends so that they can keep me accountable.

The second goal I want to achieve this year is fewer absences and tardies. This goal is important to me because I really want not to take final exams,I will accomplish this goal by remembering how much easier my life will be at the end of the year. I also will come to school even if I get sick, I think I will push through, unless the sickness is hurting my body way too bad,Lastly, I will remember that I can skip full days at the end and not have to come to school at all.

The third goal I want to achieve this year is getting up earlier in the morning. This goal is super important to be because when I wake up late, I do not eat breakfast, which makes me super hungry and uncomfortable at school. I will make this goal happen by setting my alarm ten minutes earlier each day. I need to tell myself to wake up and eat, and I think eventually it will just turn into a good habit. Today I started, and it's not that hard; I just cannot slack.

The fourth goal I want to achieve is going out more for active fun things and not just staying in my house. This is an important goal to me because since it is my last semester here in Atlanta, I want to get to do more stuff outdoors in the area. I will ensure that I achieve this goal by planning activities and thinking outside the box about things to do. I have also really been enjoying driving my car so I can tell myself that I can drive around and relax and just find something simple to do.
