Prompt Response: When I was super little I believed in Santa Clause and the tooth fairy and things like that. I am pretty sure most kids go though this phase even if some don't believe as much as others. I wanted to believe so I think I believed a little bit longer. Once I realized things like that were not real I started to wonder why those things were made. As I have gone through life I have realized that we put distractions into life so that its not as depressing and boring. Without phones, candy, yummy food, movies, and other things that make people feel happy and different, our society would fail. If people did not have happiness then why would we live. I think that growing up is one of the worst things because you realize how life is a challenge and you are more trying to survive then to live.
Summary: In class we wrote a 10 line poem and I made mine about how Celie is becoming more depressed and losing her faith in God.
Reflection: I think the ending of this book is getting more and more interesting. I think her even threatening Mister In a way is something that she would have never imagined doing at the beginning of the book.
